After a 2-year long wait and a successful East Coast Tour 2005, author and traveling teacher R.A. Mendoza returns to Las Vegas for launching his new projects. The author of the successful book Poetic Pieces, “a book for all people looking for positive poetry and two bonus short stories” will arrive on Friday, March 3rd at Gene Ward Elementary School in recognition of Nevada’s Reading Week.

Being branded as “The P.o.e.t.i.c. Educator” (Poetry on Earth that is Cool…TM) , R.A. will be the featured author and guest speaker at 8 a.m. in Gene Ward’s Multi-Purpose Room. In addition, he will be visiting the library and hosting a few classes in sharing his many positive poetry, flute music, and motivational talk.

R.A., an Outstanding Young Californian Awardee 2004 by the California Junior Chamber, is proud to launch his new “P.o.e.t.i.c. Passages.” These are poems featured in his book on decorative, wooden plaques. We are also relaunching the new website ramendoza.com, a glossier cover, and more surprises inside the book.

R.A. Mendoza Books has now committed to providing a portion of the proceeds to the Frank and Concepcion B. Mendoza Scholarship Fund in memory of his late parents.
